Senior Research Engineer at Dunlop Sports Americas
Job Description
- Conduct analytical research to improve the performance of golf club products.
- Use Finite Element Analysis tools to design and evaluate product technologies.
- Be responsible for the design, development, testing and implementation of various technologies and innovations relating to improved golf club performance.
- Plan and conduct or coordinate complex mechanical engineering experiments to test, prove, or modify engineering designs.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, CAD technicians, and Marketing personnel throughout research, development, and product launch phases.
- Prepare, organize, and otherwise communicate findings in technical reports to management and other departments as necessary.
- Manage projects, including defining goals, schedules, activities, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Identifies project resource requirements and coordinates resources with supporting organization managers.
- Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design and engineering documents.
- Oversees specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.
- Interacts and communicates with domestic and international component suppliers to convey design and engineering requirements.
- Interfaces with management and personnel from other departments to provide status and progress reports and ensure project needs are met
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- Ideal candidates would have a Bachelors degree or higher in one of the following majors:
- Mechanical/Aerospace/Industrial/Civil Engineering, Material Science, Physics.
- 5\+ years of experience in Golf or Sporting Goods Engineering.
Preferred Education & Experience
- 5\+ years of experience
- Master’s Degree a plus
- Avid golfer a plus
- Experience in product development a plus
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computer Aided Design (CAD) a plus
