Job Description
Houston Dynamo FC are seeking a Video Analyst Intern to join their Video Coordination Internship Programme, providing hands-on experience across the First Team, Dynamo 2, and Academy environments.
This internship offers aspiring analysts the opportunity to learn the day-to-day responsibilities of a professional football video analyst, supporting training sessions and matches while developing practical experience within an MLS organisation.
- Assist with filming First Team, Dynamo 2, and Academy training sessions using drones and Hudl camera systems
- Support the filming of Academy and MLS NEXT matches on weekends
- Assist with video coverage of Dynamo 2 and First Team home matches
- Help tag, organise, and upload training and match footage to the club's internal video database
- Ensure video content is accurately processed to support coaching and analysis workflows
- Work closely with the Head Video Analyst and Dynamo 2 Video Analyst
- Support ongoing projects and operational tasks within the video analysis department
- Assist with additional analysis and technical projects as assigned
- Contribute to efficient workflows across the First Team, MLS NEXT Pro, and Academy programmes
- Practical experience within an MLS First Team environment
- Exposure to MLS NEXT Pro and Academy performance analysis operations
- Experience using industry-standard video capture and analysis workflows
- Insight into the day-to-day role of a professional football Video Analyst
- Mentorship from experienced analysts working in elite football
- Strong passion for football with experience as a player, coach, or knowledgeable supporter
- Highly motivated with a genuine interest in performance analysis
- Reliable, punctual, and well organised
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in fast-paced environments
- Willingness to receive feedback and continually improve
- Experience operating video equipment or drones
- Previous exposure to filming or video analysis within football
- Interest in pursuing a career in professional performance analysis
- Internship runs from June through November
- Flexible working schedule based around team training and matches
- Applicants must be legally authorised to work in the United States
- Successful candidates will be subject to background screening and drug testing where applicable
