Job Summary
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Serves as an analyst for the women's basketball staff for play strategies that are used in practice, game preparation, and game days.
- While incumbent is not permitted to directly coach the student-athletes, analyst advises coaches as permissible under the NCAA rules and regulations for potential plays, strategies, etc. that may go wrong and makes calculated recommendations on the most likely successful outcomes of plays.
General Responsibilities
- Complies fully with all NCAA, conference, and Indiana University rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
- Breaks down film to analyze data, produce statistical reports, conduct scouting analysis, and create post-game reports. Analyzes opponents, breaks down statistics, and charts plays during games.
- Works with coaches of assigned sport on evaluation of practice and game performance. Advises coaching staff on schemes, plays, and player strengths and weaknesses. Suggests plays for coaches to run in practice to best represent an accurate look as possible for upcoming games.
- Researches trends and schemes throughout college and professional sports to provide reports to coaching staff.
- Identifies and develops external contacts to establish relationships and promote assigned sport to prospective student athletes. Researches and identifies portfolios of potential student athletes in an effort to maintain a successful pool of recruits for the assigned sport.

EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's degree.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
- 1 year in Sport analytics, coaching or related sport administration at the collegiate level or higher.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
