Job Title: Youth Football Programs Coordinator – High School Tackle
Department: Community Relations / Youth Football
Reports To: Director of Youth Football
Location: College Park, Maryland
Status: Full-Time
Position Summary
The Youth Football Programs Coordinator – High School Tackle leads the execution and growth
of the Washington Commanders high school football initiatives across the DMV. This individual
owns key tackle platforms, manages relationships with coaches and schools, and drives
operational excellence and measurable community impact. The role also supports broader youth
flag, youth tackle, and Girls Flag Football programming.
We’re seeking someone passionate about youth development, highly organized, and relationship driven, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
High School Tackle Leadership – Program Owner
Primary lead for:
• Friday Night Feature
• High School Coaching Clinics
• Commanders 11on
• High School Tackle Media Day
• Coach of the Week
• Player of the Week
Responsibilities include planning, outreach, stakeholder management, logistics, cross-functional
coordination, sponsor fulfillment, and program reporting. Drive participation growth and
strengthen Commanders engagement with high school football communities throughout the
region.
Program Coordination & Growth
• Execute additional initiatives such as Learn to Play Clinics, Play60 Clinics, Alumni
Camps, and other programs as assigned.
• Build and maintain relationships with youth leagues, coaches, and administrators.
• Partner with the Director of Youth Football to expand Girls Flag Football.
• Support long-term growth strategies across DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Operations & Administration
• Manage scheduling, communications, run-of-show planning, and onsite execution.
• Track participation and performance metrics.
• Maintain equipment inventory and activation logistics.
• Manage football contact databases and youth football web updates.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years in youth/high school sports, events, or community programming preferred.
• Strong relationship builder with excellent communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience with sponsor deliverables is a plus.
• Availability for evenings/weekends aligned with football schedules.
• Ability to lift/move equipment; valid driver’s license required
