The successful candidate will support the First Team through the capture, analysis and distribution of training and match video and data, working closely with coaches, analysts and players to support both individual and team performance.

This is a hands-on applied analysis position combining training capture, matchday analysis, player development and video management.

Working alongside the First Team Coach Analyst and Senior First Team Analyst, the successful candidate will contribute to weekly match preparation while taking a lead role in capturing and managing training footage.

  • Lead the capture of all outfield, goalkeeper and individual training sessions.
  • Operate camera, drone and VEO technology to capture training.

  • Develop and manage an individual player best-practice video database aligned with the club’s playing style.
  • Use training and match footage to support individual player development.
  • Work with the Head of Player Development to create video and statistical learning materials.
  • Support individual player review meetings and monitor longitudinal development.
  • Provide matchday analytical support, including multi-angle video capture and coding of team and individual events.
  • Deliver immediate analytical feedback to technical staff.
  • Attend all home and away fixtures, including overnight travel where required.
  • Support wider Performance Analysis workflows and ad-hoc projects for analysts and technical staff.

Essential:

  • Undergraduate degree in Sports Science, Sports Coaching, Performance Analysis or a related discipline.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong planning, organisation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate effectively within the changing demands of professional football.

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate degree in Sports Science, Sports Coaching, Performance Analysis or a related discipline.

The role provides practical responsibility across:

Hudl | VEO | Drone Capture | Multi-Angle Video | Training Analysis | Match Coding | Player Development

It represents a particularly strong opportunity for an analyst looking to develop experience across the complete First Team analysis cycle, from training capture and preparation through to matchday support and individual player development.

Hull City offer:

  • Annual leave entitlement increasing with service.
  • 20% discount at the Tiger Leisure Store.
  • Two season cards for Hull City home fixtures following probation.
  • Free on-site parking.
