Performance Analysis Lead at Loughborough University
Job Description
Loughborough University are seeking an experienced Performance Analysis Lead to oversee the delivery and development of performance analysis support across their elite performance programmes and wider sporting network.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead analysis provision within one of the world’s leading high-performance sport environments, managing analysts, placements, and volunteers while shaping long-term analysis strategy and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deploy Performance Analysis mentors, placements, and volunteers
- Manage and support analysts delivering across performance programmes
- Collaborate with coaches and multidisciplinary practitioners to optimise athlete support
- Drive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including NGBs
- Oversee performance analysis infrastructure, software, and equipment
- Develop impactful CPD opportunities for analysts and placement students
- Support relationships with Hudl, Catapult, and other commercial partners
- Contribute to long-term strategy surrounding performance analysis provision
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Lead Analyst within elite sport
- Significant experience operating in high-performance analysis environments
- Experience managing placement students, volunteers, or early-career practitioners
- Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
- Experience with data visualisation and analysis
- Highly proficient using Hudl products
- Experience working within interdisciplinary performance teams
- Sport-related degree qualification

- Knowledge of athlete management systems and GPS technologies
- Evidence of continued professional development
