Job Description
The Oklahoma City Thunder are recruiting a Video Analysis and Charting Associate to support their Player Development operation within the organisation's Insight & Foresight pillar.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within an NBA performance environment, analysing game and practice footage and transforming video into structured data that supports player development, research and decision-making.
Working closely with the Director of Player Development, the successful candidate will contribute across the video-analysis pipeline, from analysing and charting footage through to generating datasets, reports and presentations.
The position combines Performance Analysis, data generation and applied research, with outputs designed to help create better conditions for player development and performance.
- Analyse and chart game and practice footage.
- Generate large and sophisticated datasets from video.
- Work with the Director of Player Development to establish priorities and analytical tasks.
- Develop reports, presentations and ongoing analytical outputs.
- Communicate and present findings clearly.
- Collaborate on new research opportunities across different functions.
- Support projects across the wider Player Development and Insight & Foresight operation.
- Deliver accurate, high-quality work within required deadlines.

This is a paid, fully remote, part-time position, with working hours not exceeding 29 hours per week.
The nature of professional basketball means some work may be required at short notice and during evenings, weekends and holidays.

Rather than simply producing video clips, the role focuses on creating new sources of data from footage and using those outputs to support research, analysis and decision-making within an NBA organisation.
