Job Description
North Carolina FC are seeking a Sports Performance Analyst to provide critical performance insights that support athlete development, team performance, and opposition preparation.
This role combines performance analysis, data analytics, and opposition scouting, working closely with technical staff to transform complex information into actionable insights for coaches and players.
⚽ Key Responsibilities
Carolina Ascent FC - First Team Performance Analyst
- Collect and analyse performance data from training sessions and matches
- Evaluate individual and team performance metrics
- Produce detailed statistical reports and performance summaries
- Identify performance trends, strengths, and development opportunities
- Support coaching staff with evidence-based performance recommendations
- Lead opposition scouting processes
- Analyse opposition tactics, strengths, weaknesses, and key players
- Develop player-facing and coaching presentations on upcoming opponents
- Monitor competitor trends and strategic developments
- Utilise tracking technologies and analytical tools to assess performance
- Create visual presentations and dashboards for coaches and management
- Translate complex data into clear and actionable insights
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Statistics, Data Analysis, or a related field
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Proficiency with Excel, R, Python, or similar analytical tools
- Experience using Hudl Sportscode for team, player, and opposition coding
- Advanced understanding of sports performance metrics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with athlete performance tracking technologies

- Master's degree in a related discipline
- Previous experience within professional sport analytics environments
- Knowledge of advanced sport-specific performance methodologies
