Job Description

New York City FC II are seeking a Performance Analyst to support the club’s sporting operations department, delivering high-quality video and performance analysis to enhance team performance and accelerate player development.

Working closely with coaches, analysts, and multidisciplinary staff, the successful candidate will contribute to opposition analysis, training and match analysis, and individual player development planning within one of MLS’s leading player pathways.

⚽ Key Responsibilities

  • Film, capture, and distribute training and match footage
  • Code and analyse training and match performances using Hudl Sportscode and related platforms
  • Create and maintain best-practice libraries and individual development plan resources
  • Support team, unit, and individual player learning sessions through video feedback
  • Deliver analysis outputs that support player development and team preparation
  • Utilise proprietary club data systems to analyse player and team performance
  • Support opposition analysis and player development projects
  • Interpret and communicate performance insights to coaching staff
  • Maintain video analysis equipment and software systems
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate upgrades when required
  • Support filming operations and analysis workflows across the season

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Performance Analyst or Video Analyst in football/soccer
  • Strong football knowledge as a player, coach, or analyst
  • Experience using Hudl Sportscode, Catapult MatchTracker, Spiideo, or similar platforms
  • Experience with telestration tools such as Hudl Studio, CoachPaint, or Piero
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience filming sporting events from a coaching perspective
  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel with competition schedules

  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience with Keynote and Mac systems
  • Drone flying certifications and operational experience
