Job Description
Scottish Rugby are seeking a WNT Lead Performance Analyst to lead the delivery of a best-in-class performance analysis service for the Scotland Women National Team.
This role will sit at the heart of the coaching process, providing detailed video analysis, statistical reporting, and performance insights to support decision-making before, during, and after matches and campaigns. The successful candidate will also play a key role in aligning performance analysis standards across the women's high-performance pathway.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead performance analysis provision for the Scotland Women National Team
- Deliver opposition analysis, performance reviews, video feedback, and statistical reporting
- Support player development and coaching decision-making through evidence-based insights
- Develop specialist expertise in a key area of the game (attack, defence, or set piece)
- Create engaging presentations, reports, and visualisations for coaches and players
- Lead analysis support during training camps and international fixtures
- Coordinate and manage analysts, contractors, and students during campaigns
- Support alignment across the Women's pathway, including Celtic Challenge, National Academy, and Talent Pathway programmes
- Track and report on player performance across competitions including Celtic Challenge and PWR
- Manage analysis hardware, software, video, and data systems
- Explore and implement innovative analysis approaches, including AI technologies
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 4 years' experience as a Performance Analyst, ideally including leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of Rugby Union
- Advanced experience with Hudl Sportscode, Hudl Studio, Tableau/Power BI, Excel, IP camera systems, and analysis hardware
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Apple software including Keynote
- Outstanding communication, planning, and organisational skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work in demanding, high-performance environments and meet tight deadlines
- Full driving licence
- Ability to travel internationally and work flexible hours during competition periods
- Satisfactory PVG safeguarding clearance
