Job Description
The British Paralympic Association is recruiting a Lead Performance Analyst to help shape, develop and lead the delivery of Performance Analysis services for ParalympicsGB at the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.
Building on the successful introduction of Performance Analysis within ParalympicsGB's Performance Services provision at Paris 2024, this role offers an opportunity to further establish the discipline as an integral part of Games-time performance support.
Working alongside the Head of Performance Services, the Lead Performance Analyst will help identify the requirements of individual sports and determine how Performance Analysis can be delivered most effectively during LA 2028.
The role will involve developing appropriate analytical solutions, supporting their delivery during the Games and evaluating their impact to inform future Paralympic programmes.
This is a leadership opportunity focused on service development, multidisciplinary collaboration and the application of Performance Analysis within elite Paralympic sport.
- Work with the Head of Performance Services to identify and understand the Performance Analysis requirements of individual sports.
- Contribute to the design of an effective, performance-focused Games-time analysis provision.
- Identify opportunities for Performance Analysis to enhance athlete and team preparation and performance.
- Help determine appropriate analytical solutions based on the requirements of participating sports.
- Develop and lead key Performance Analysis solutions required during LA 2028.
- Support the delivery of Performance Analysis within the wider ParalympicsGB Performance Services provision.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Performance Services and relevant sport stakeholders.
- Ensure the provision remains focused on delivering meaningful performance impact.
- Undertake a comprehensive review of Performance Analysis provision following the Games.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the services delivered.
- Identify learning and recommendations to inform the planning and development of Performance Analysis support at future Paralympic Games.
The role is particularly relevant to experienced Performance Analysis practitioners with an interest in high-performance sport, multidisciplinary service delivery and the development of analytical support systems.
The position requires an ability to understand sport-specific performance needs, translate them into practical analytical solutions and contribute to effective service delivery in a major Games environment.
