Job Description

Ampthill RUFC are seeking a motivated Performance Analyst to join their Senior Men's programme for the upcoming Championship Rugby season.

Working alongside elite players and experienced coaching staff, you'll support the club's performance programme through match and training analysis, helping to deliver valuable insights that enhance player and team performance. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring analysts, recent graduates, or students looking to gain practical experience in a professional sporting environment.

  • Film training sessions and competitive fixtures
  • Code matches using professional performance analysis software
  • Produce video clips to support team and player review sessions
  • Analyse key performance areas including attack, defence, set-piece, kicking, and discipline
  • Organise and manage performance footage and analysis databases
  • Work closely with coaches to deliver performance insights
  • Support players with individual and team analysis
  • Assist medical and Strength & Conditioning staff with analysis requests
  • Contribute to the wider performance environment throughout the season
  • Paid season-long position

Previous experience in rugby is not essential. Applications are welcomed from candidates with backgrounds in sport, coaching, analysis, video production, data, digital media, or related fields. Full training will be provided.

Training sessions take place:

  • Monday: 5:45pm–9:00pm (Bedford Athletic)
  • Tuesday & Thursday: 5:45pm–9:30pm (Ampthill RUFC)

Attendance is also required for home fixtures and selected away matches. Working hours and payment will be agreed with the successful applicant.
